Job Description
Based in the vibrant city of Lexington, Kentucky, this opportunity is offered by a dynamic events team specializing in creating memorable experiences through mobile pop-up shops across the central Kentucky region. The company actively participates in various fairs and festivals, bringing unique apparel and merchandise directly to event attendees. This temporary position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in energetic, outdoor environments and appreciate the vibrant culture and community events that Kentucky hosts. The work primarily revolves around weekends, aligning well with those seeking flexible weekend employment. Employees will engage directly with customers, manage merchandising setups, and represent the brand in a friendly and professional manner. The pay rate for this part-time, temporary position ranges between 14 and 15 USD per hour, offering a competitive wage for weekend work during the bustling fall event season. The role is seasonally timed from late August through the second week in October, with occasional Friday commitments necessary to ensure smooth operations at each event.
The seasonal events team member’s responsibilities start with the logistical aspects of event management, including loading and unloading apparel and supplies, setting up display tables and tents, and maintaining an organized, visually appealing presentation throughout each event. An essential part of the role is providing exceptional customer service, engaging with attendees to foster positive interactions and support sales efforts. Working independently is a critical component of this job, as the events staff must self-manage their time and tasks during events in a laid-back, yet professional atmosphere. This role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who can thrive in independent work settings and enjoy the eclectic vibe of Kentucky’s festival and fair scene. The company also offers its staff exciting perks such as flexible weekend hours, a relaxed working environment at lively events, and free merchandise including the latest Kentucky Shop apparel to wear during the season. Employees essentially become brand ambassadors while enjoying the autonomy that comes with a self-directed work style. If you’re passionate about being part of a fun team and representing a local Kentucky brand at some of the region’s biggest gatherings, this temporary events staff position provides a great opportunity to earn, engage, and enjoy the vibrant community culture throughout the fall season.
