The Seasonal Events Associate plays a vital role within the Fiesta Sports Foundation, acting as a key contributor to the planning, coordination, and execution of its celebrated events from August through January. This temporary, hourly, and non-exempt role offers aspiring young professionals the chance to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of event management through hands-on participation in major functions including the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Rate Bowl, Par 3 Challenge, Fiesta Bowl Parade, and related pregame parties. Reporting directly to the Director of Event Development and Operations, Seasonal Events Associates work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event delivery. The role involves diverse responsibilities that range from logistical support such as overseeing event infrastructure set up and breakdown to coordinating vendor activities and security logistics. Job Requirements
- Availability of additional hours during event periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
- Currently pursuing or holding an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field
- Relevant experience in sports industry and event management preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Smartsheet, and JotForm considered a plus
- Ability to multitask, adapt, and work collaboratively under pressure
- Capacity to perform assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations
Job Qualifications

- An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Sport Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or currently pursuing such a degree
- Relevant experience in the sports industry and event management preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat Pro, InDesign), Smartsheet and JotForm experience helpful but not required
- Ability to adapt, multi-task and work as a team under tight deadlines
- Ability to effectively perform listed responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
Job Duties
- Assist with the planning and execution of events including Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Rate Bowl, Par 3 Challenge, Fiesta Bowl Parade, and pregame parties
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event infrastructure
- Work closely with vendors to coordinate event orders, onsite plans, and product deliveries
- Collaborate with Fiesta Bowl team members, college football officials, stadium management, sponsors, and independent contractors to execute events
- Prepare materials for meetings, take minutes, and compile action items
- Maintain contact lists and documentation, ensuring meticulous data entry and record-keeping
- Assist with warehouse operations including distribution and delivery schedules
- Support security logistics related to games, teams, VIPs, and other event-related matters
- Manage staff and volunteer coordination
- Adapt to evolving organizational needs and undertake tasks beyond those listed
- Contribute to additional projects ensuring team objectives are efficiently achieved
