Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 19 years old
- Valid state driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available for 3 to 4 days per week including weekends and evenings from October through January
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work well as a team
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds using proper techniques
- Comfortable working outdoors and standing for long periods
- Ability to work extended hours on weekends, holidays, and evenings
Job Qualifications

- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous customer service or event experience preferred
- Must be available for at least 3 days per week
Job Duties
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
- Handle customer or guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Obtain all necessary information prior to the event including the event information sheet
- Assist external vendors upon their arrival and provide escort and logistical support
- Escort guests and vendors on a golf cart or other Zoo vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of facilities and atmosphere
- Properly follow food handling and beverage procedures according to Zoo policies and state laws
- Assist with and ensure proper set up, tear down, and storage of tables, chairs, signage, tents, and other event needs
- Ensure drink tickets are accounted for and turned in at the end of the Event Operations Captain
- Help manage event logistics including venue set up, staffing stations, and availability of equipment and supplies
- Assist bartending staff in bar setup and inventory management
- Monitor for under-age drinking, over-indulgent drinking, and facility damage
- Be present at events to ensure smooth operation and troubleshoot as necessary
- Follow Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium policies and standards
