Job Description
Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Destination by Hyatt, is a prestigious 4-Star full-service resort nestled on 25 acres in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs. Established in 1985, the resort boasts breathtaking mountain views and a range of exciting outdoor activities such as golf, swimming, and tennis. The resort offers a unique blend of natural beauty and upscale amenities, making it a premier destination for guests seeking relaxation, recreation, and exceptional hospitality. As part of the Hyatt family, the resort adheres to high standards of service excellence and operates with a commitment to inclusivity, integrity, and employee well-being.
The resort is currently seeking passionate and service-oriented individuals for a seasonal bartender position. This role is central to enhancing guest experiences by providing expertly crafted beverages and personalized service in an inviting bar environment. The hourly rate for this position starts at $12.14 plus tips, reflecting the value Hyatt places on quality hospitality professionals. The bartender will be an ambassador of the resort’s mission to care for people to help them be their best, creating memorable interactions through both classic and innovative mixology techniques.
Working as a bartender at Cheyenne Mountain Resort offers more than just traditional service duties; it presents an opportunity to engage in casual conversation, showcase creativity, and build upon previous bartending experience. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the latest trends in mixology as well as bar equipment and sanitation standards. Maintaining an attractive and well-stocked bar is crucial to the position, alongside offering tailored beverage recommendations that cater to the unique tastes and preferences of each guest. Candidates should also be well-versed in state and local beverage service regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
This seasonal role requires resilience and adaptability, particularly during the bustling summer months from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is essential to meet the demands of the resort’s busy hospitality calendar. The environment at Cheyenne Mountain Resort encourages teamwork and a guest-centered approach, fostering an atmosphere where every interaction contributes to an outstanding guest journey. Hyatt colleagues benefit from a supportive work culture that values empathy, respect, inclusion, and experimentation, making this position an excellent stepping stone for career growth within the hospitality industry.
Hyatt further enhances this role by offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes growth opportunities, referral bonuses, and employee recognition programs. Additional benefits such as basic life insurance, sick days, discounted room rates for friends and family, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, an employee stock purchase plan, complimentary parking, and meals during shifts make this an attractive employment option. Employees also have access to the Employee Assistance Program and discounts at Hyatt property restaurants and coffee shops. Cheyenne Mountain Resort seeks to create a balanced work environment that supports financial stability, professional development, and personal well-being for every team member.
