The Culinary Cook position at St. Regis represents an exciting opportunity to be part of this world-class hospitality team. This role involves preparing ingredients such as portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality. The cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food following established recipes, quality, and presentation standards. Those in this role operate various kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, while monitoring food quality and ensuring food safety at all times.

Beyond food preparation, the Culinary Cook is expected to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen work area, tools, and equipment, adhering strictly to company and safety policies. This includes setting up and breaking down workstations and ensuring kitchen appliances and food temperatures meet safety standards. The role requires physical endurance as cooks often stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of related work experience and hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Though supervisory experience is not required, the cook must be a team player, fostering positive working relationships and communicating professionally with colleagues.
