Job Description

Lowe's is a leading home improvement retailer known for its commitment to providing customers with quality products and exceptional service. As one of the most recognized names in the retail sector, Lowe's operates numerous stores across the United States and maintains a strong reputation for customer satisfaction and innovation in home improvement solutions. The company continuously strives to create an inclusive and diverse workplace where employees are encouraged to grow and develop their skills in a supportive environment. Lowe's prides itself on building long-term relationships with its customers and helping them transform their houses into homes through a wide array of products ranging from tools and appliances to garden supplies and building materials.

The role being offered is an entry-level position at Lowe's, aimed at individuals who have a passion for helping others and an interest in retail operations, particularly within the home improvement industry. This position requires delivering excellent SMART customer service by adhering to daily customer service policies and procedures designed by Lowe's. The successful candidate will engage directly with customers to understand their needs, guide them in locating products, and offer assistance with demonstrations and selections, highlighting product features, warranties, and benefits.

In this position, the individual will be expected to respond promptly and knowledgeably to both customer and associate inquiries, often walking customers through various projects to ensure they receive comprehensive support. The role also emphasizes sincere customer appreciation and the effective communication of information concerning stock availability, special orders, and various Lowe’s programs. Responsibilities extend to managing customer contracts and invoices related to equipment rentals and tool repairs within the Tool Rental Department.

Moreover, the candidate is encouraged to cross-train in other departments to enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to a cohesive team environment. Vigilance in security matters is essential, including spotting signs of theft or shoplifting and communicating these concerns to management or Asset Protection personnel. Maintaining the physical store environment is critical; this includes keeping the store clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols such as conducting daily safety reviews, and properly operating various store equipment.

This position is ideal for individuals with less than one year of retail experience or those new to retail technology, such as smart devices and tablets. It requires someone eager to cultivate new skills, particularly related to customer interaction, merchandise knowledge, and safety practices within a large retail setting. The company offers a dynamic work environment where safety, customer service, and teamwork are priorities. Lowe's is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. Compensation varies based on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience, with additional benefits available to eligible employees.
