The CAMPO and Pool Bartender role at Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley is a seasonal full-time position available from April through October. This role demands a team member who is passionate about providing top-tier service by mixing, blending, and serving an exceptional selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks while maintaining adherence to Four Seasons’ high standards. The CAMPO Bartender engages with guests in a warm, professional manner, offering insightful knowledge about beverage preparation, origins, and taste profiles, thereby enhancing each guest’s experience through thoughtful interaction and anticipation of their needs. Responsibilities extend beyond bar service to include maintaining inventory, ensuring cleanliness, accurately managing cash and credit payments, and cooperating harmoniously with colleagues to uphold the resort’s exceptional service standards.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year bartending or related work
  • Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons standards
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients and drinks to answer questions and accommodate off-menu requests
  • Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • check completed orders with the guest’s original order
  • Service and take orders from guests seated at a bar area offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of bar and back-bar stations
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • process cash and credit card payments
  • properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Serve food items in the bar area
  • Assist with bar inventory
  • Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed
