The company operates a collection of premium properties that emphasize luxury, comfort, and personalized service, making them a leader in the hospitality industry. HHM Hotels prides itself on upholding a culture of inclusivity, equal opportunity employment, and high standards for both staff and guest interactions. Their work environment is designed to inspire excellence, agility, and ownership among their team members while maintaining sustainability and safety as integral aspects of their operations.
The Seasonal Bartender position at one of HHM Hotels' distinguished properties is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and beverage service. This role revolves around serving beverages and food courteously and efficiently to ensure a superior level of guest satisfaction. The bartender must maintain a clean and organized bar area, prepare and serve various drink orders, and responsibly manage alcohol service by verifying customer age requirements. Additionally, the role involves ingredient preparation, such as slicing and pitting fruit for drink garnishing, and may also include taking food and beverage orders at tables within the bar and lounge areas.
A successful candidate will be adept at following established standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests, handling beverage inventory tasks, and completing side work duties promptly before the end of shifts. Part of the role's focus is to contribute actively toward boosting guest satisfaction scores in the department and overall property. Candidates are expected to practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment when necessary, and adhere to OSHA and MSDS guidelines, ensuring a safe workplace for all.
Work schedules for this position may vary, including holidays, weekends, and various shift times, highlighting the need for flexibility and stamina. Physical aspects of the job include standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting items up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching. The bartender is also expected to embrace the company's values of capability, service heart, excellence, agility, and responsibility, contributing to a positive guest experience and work culture.
The position typically requires previous bartending or mixology experience or equivalent training. While a high school diploma is preferred, certifications such as TIPS and Food Sanitation are highly advantageous, and the Food Sanitation certificate must be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already held.
HHM Hotels recognizes and celebrates diversity and is committed to non-discrimination across all protected characteristics. This opportunity offers career growth potential, including advancement to Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and ultimately Food & Beverage Manager roles within the organization. Through their supportive culture and well-defined career paths, HHM Hotels provides a platform for those looking to develop professionally while contributing to a premier guest experience in a luxury hospitality setting.
