This includes retrieving and checking stock orders, maintaining the bar supplies such as garnishes, straws, stir sticks, napkins, and matches, and keeping the bar area clean and organized. You will be tasked with rotating beer stock, filling refrigerators, washing and stocking glassware, and preparing perishable garnishes like fruits by cutting, slicing, and peeling. Additionally, you will help with routine maintenance tasks including transporting and replacing heavy beer kegs, cleaning various bar equipment, and managing ice bins and waste disposal.

The work environment requires physical stamina, as the position involves lifting supplies up to 100 pounds and enduring the presence of second-hand smoke, bright lights, and ambient noise typical of a bar setting. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and either have or be capable of obtaining a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, relevant experience with bartending or barback duties for at least one year is a primary requirement. This role is seasonal and part-time, providing flexibility for those pursuing other commitments or seeking temporary work in the hospitality industry.

Working hours are mostly in the evenings and nights, which aligns well with the operating hours of many bars and nightclubs.
