The Pool Barback position is an entry-level role essential to the smooth operation of beverage services during the pool season. Serving as the backbone of beverage operations, the Pool Barback ensures all bars are fully stocked with necessary beverages, glassware, and supplies, enabling bartenders to deliver outstanding service efficiently. This role demands a high attention to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork to maintain a fun and safe environment for guests and staff. Candidates in this position will experience working in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment where their efforts directly contribute to the seamless delivery of service that Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is known for.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • requires standing for long periods, frequent bending and kneeling
  • must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
  • flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in a setting that includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • little to no previous work experience required
  • ability to obtain a food handler's card
  • ability to pass all alcohol awareness training
  • ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority
  • ability to obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license

Job Duties

  • Stock all forms of beer, wine, liquor, juice, non-alcoholic mixers, and other supplies for beverage venues and storage areas
  • ensure perishable supplies are dated and maintained for freshness
  • sweep and mop all floors daily
  • pull trash throughout the shift
  • clean trash cans
  • uphold cleanliness standards for your station and shared areas
  • ensure all soaps, sanitizers, paper towels, and other essentials are well-stocked
  • clean, wash, and stock all glassware and bar supplies
  • promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment
