Job Requirements

  • Current resident of Colorado
  • Ability to sign waiver of retention rights
  • Availability for on-call crisis response duties
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel
  • Proficient in crisis response models and training
  • Experience working with educational institutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field
  • Experience in crisis intervention or school safety services
  • Proficiency in the NASP PREPaRE Model or willingness to become certified
  • Strong communication and training delivery skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Knowledge of Colorado school safety laws and regulations
  • Capacity to travel as needed for crisis response and training

Job Duties

  • Provide crisis response training to school personnel using the PREPaRE Model and other approved crisis models
  • Develop and deliver instructional modules for school crisis prevention and preparedness
  • Collaborate with School Outreach and Regional Training Consultants to support center initiatives
  • Respond on-call to critical incidents in schools to assist with immediate crisis management
  • Lead or support school crisis response efforts to minimize trauma and restore normal operations
  • Maintain proficiency in mental health workshops offered by the Colorado School Safety Resource Center
  • Communicate availability of crisis assistance to schools statewide
