- Food handler certification from a recognized course
- Relevant experience in cooking and preparing nutritious meals
- Ability to adapt menus based on dietary needs and restrictions
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- First aid and infant CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and child abuse registry clearance
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform kitchen and housekeeping duties
- Effective communication skills for working with staff and children

Job Duties
- Execute daily menus and create adjustments when necessary
- Inventory grocery and janitorial supplies
- Maintain kitchen, dishware, and eating areas in clean, safe, and sanitized condition
- Prepare meals specific to dietary requirements, allergies, and special feeding considerations
- Communicate with staff as needed regarding food preparation and dietary needs
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all kitchen operations
