Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent or two years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of education
Proficiency in basic math such as addition subtraction and multiplication
Must attend and pass the ASD Serving It Safe food safety course and examination within 21 calendar days from date of hire
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to handle conflict and make decisions under pressure
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent or two years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of education
Proficiency in basic math including addition subtraction and multiplication
Successful completion of the four-hour ASD Serving It Safe food safety course and examination within 21 days of hire
Experience using touch screen point of sale systems and knowledge of cashiering practices preferred
Previous food service experience preferred

Job Duties

Assist in food preparation cooking heating and filling meal orders for cashiers and demonstrate understanding of sanitation and food service practices
Work independently in a fast-paced environment within limited timelines
Sort and store food deliveries and report supply shortages
Assist in basic inventory needs and record keeping assignments prepare simple reports and record data as needed
Operate point of sale system make change and count daily receivables
Clean and sanitize equipment refrigerators freezers wipe counters sweep and mop floors wash daily laundry and perform routine cleaning sanitation tasks
Transfer trays baskets containers utensils and food items as necessary and maintain positive effective working relationships with students staff personnel and the public
