Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent or two years related work experience
Proficient in basic math including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
Ability to attend and pass ASD Serving It Safe food safety course and exam within 21 calendar days of hire
Ability to stand, walk, sit, speak, hear regularly
Capability to lift items under 40 pounds occasionally
Ability to manage stress and make effective decisions under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral
Undergo satisfactory criminal background check
Ability to work in diverse environments including potential military installations
Willingness to perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent or two years related work experience
Proficiency in basic math such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication
Ability to attend and pass a four-hour food safety course within 21 days of hire
Experience using touch screen point of sale systems preferred
Previous food service experience preferred
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with diverse groups

Job Duties

Assist in food preparation, cooking, heating, and filling meal orders for cashiers
Work independently in a fast-paced environment within limited timelines
Sort and store food deliveries, report supply shortages
Assist in basic inventory tasks and record keeping, preparing simple reports and recording data
Operate point of sale system, make change, and count daily receivables
Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, refrigerators, freezers, sweep and mop floors, wash laundry, perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
Transfer trays, baskets, containers, utensils, and food items as necessary
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and the public
