In the role of Shop Manager, you will serve as the pivotal leader of the service center, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations that ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Compensation for this role is competitive, with employees paid on an hourly basis weekly. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • valid driver’s license required
  • successful completion of a background check
  • reliable transportation is required
  • willingness to work a schedule that typically averages approximately 50 hours per week
  • basic computer skills or the ability to quickly learn company systems
  • ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and reach for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in an automotive service environment
  • comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments
  • ability and willingness to work during all season and weather conditions
  • ability to work in confined spaces when necessary

Job Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing service center team
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train team members
  • provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development

  • deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain strong customer satisfaction ratings
  • address customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally
  • monitor customer feedback and coach the team to continuously improve service quality
  • oversee daily shop operations including opening and closing procedures
  • manage workflow by assigning technician roles and maintaining efficient service flow
  • ensure the shop remains clean, safe, and organized at all times
  • drive shop performance by monitoring key metrics such as service volume, sales, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • create weekly schedules and manage labor to support operational needs
  • partner with the Area Manager to review performance and set shop goals
  • maintain accurate inventory levels and complete inventory counts
  • manage cash handling procedures including daily deposits
  • ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
