Job Description
Saucon Valley Country Club, located in the picturesque Lehigh Valley, is a renowned private club that offers an exceptional retreat for golf enthusiasts and dining connoisseurs alike. With three 18-hole championship golf courses, seven distinct dining venues, and nine elegant banquet venues, it stands as a premier destination for both leisure and special events. The club is celebrated for its diverse culinary offerings that set the benchmark for fine and casual dining within the region, attracting members and guests who appreciate quality, ambiance, and impeccable service.
The role of Sauté / Inside Expo Cook at Saucon Valley Country Club presents an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected culinary team in a dynamic and supportive work environment. Whether you are seeking a summer position or aiming to advance your culinary career, this role offers meaningful experience and growth potential while participating in high-profile events such as the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. This position requires a motivated individual who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen, values teamwork, and is passionately committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
As a Sauté / Inside Expo Cook, you will be responsible for expertly preparing dishes on the sauté station, ensuring that all food is cooked with precision, consistency, and proper timing. The role also involves acting as the inside expo during service hours, which means coordinating orders between the kitchen stations and ensuring that plates are plated and garnished to the club's exacting standards before they leave the kitchen. Success in this position depends on your ability to handle multiple tickets efficiently, maintain clear communication with both culinary and front-of-house teams, and contribute to a smooth and organized meal service.
Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards is paramount. You will assist in daily prep tasks, help with station setup and breakdown, and carefully label and rotate food inventory to minimize waste and uphold quality. This position demands acute attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of food production. The club supports continuous professional development and encourages team members to pursue certifications like the Certified Sous Chef or Certified Culinarian through the American Culinary Federation, enhancing your skills and career trajectory.
Saucon Valley Country Club fosters a culinary culture rooted in creativity, teamwork, and sustainability. The team is dedicated to innovation and the craft of delivering passionate culinary experiences that satisfy both traditional and contemporary tastes. Joining this club means becoming part of an inspiring environment where professionalism and mutual support help talented culinary professionals flourish and grow. This role offers not only excellent compensation but also the chance to build your culinary resume in an esteemed private club setting, surrounded by passionate colleagues who share a vision of culinary excellence.
