- Knowledge of sauté techniques and the ability to handle various ingredients effectively

Job Qualifications
- Experience through on-the-job training and apprenticeships in professional kitchen
- Formal culinary education or relevant culinary certificate preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients by sautéing in a hot pan with oil or butter
- Follow established recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in flavor, appearance, and portion sizes
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping, slicing, and marinating as needed to facilitate efficient cooking during service
- Ensure quality of dishes by tasting and adjusting seasonings before serving
- Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure sautéed items are prepared and plated timely to meet guest orders
- Maintain a clean and organized sauté station with well-functioning equipment and utensils
- Adhere to safety and hygiene standards including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation
- Assist in inventory management by tracking sauté ingredients and notifying when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operation
- Adapt to changes in menu, kitchen procedures, or guest special requests
