Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or home economics from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nutritional services management
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
  • Up-to-date registration and certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and Alcoholic Beverage Licenses as required
  • ServSafe certification or intent to obtain upon employment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a health services environment
  • Commitment to resident-centered service philosophy

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or home economics from an accredited college or university
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
  • Thorough knowledge of dietary management, menu planning, and diet therapy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in leadership and staff development
  • Understanding of federal/state/local food safety and health regulations
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with residents and staff

Job Duties

  • Ensure the Nutritional Services Department operates at the highest level possible by developing and mentoring team members
  • Build positive and transparent relationships with residents and staff
  • Provide continuous training and guidance to Nutritional Services frontline team members
  • Ensure compliance with Dining Services policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular food safety and sanitation inspections
  • Manage staffing levels and scheduling to support daily operations
  • Collaborate on budget preparation and adhere to operational budgets
  • Attend resident and team meetings and events
  • Perform progressive performance management including training, coaching, and counseling
  • Review medical records and assessments to optimize nutritional care
  • Respond promptly to correction areas identified in surveys and audits
  • Maintain leadership presence during meal periods
  • Perform other duties as assigned
