Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or home economics from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nutritional services management
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- Up-to-date registration and certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and Alcoholic Beverage Licenses as required
- ServSafe certification or intent to obtain upon employment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a health services environment
- Commitment to resident-centered service philosophy
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or home economics from an accredited college or university
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
- Thorough knowledge of dietary management, menu planning, and diet therapy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in leadership and staff development
- Understanding of federal/state/local food safety and health regulations
- Ability to build genuine relationships with residents and staff
Job Duties
- Ensure the Nutritional Services Department operates at the highest level possible by developing and mentoring team members
- Build positive and transparent relationships with residents and staff
- Provide continuous training and guidance to Nutritional Services frontline team members
- Ensure compliance with Dining Services policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular food safety and sanitation inspections
- Manage staffing levels and scheduling to support daily operations
- Collaborate on budget preparation and adhere to operational budgets
- Attend resident and team meetings and events
- Perform progressive performance management including training, coaching, and counseling
- Review medical records and assessments to optimize nutritional care
- Respond promptly to correction areas identified in surveys and audits
- Maintain leadership presence during meal periods
- Perform other duties as assigned
