As Colorado's primary and essential safety-net health care system, Denver Health is mission-driven with a strong commitment to providing uncompensated care to uninsured populations annually. Located near downtown Denver, the health system offers convenient access to a vibrant urban environment with numerous cultural and recreational activities. Denver Health is an equal opportunity employer that values the unique ideas, talents, and contributions reflective of the diverse needs of its community. All applicants for safety-sensitive roles must pass a pre-employment drug test, and recruitment remains open until the position is filled.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Sanitation Worker to join the Food and Nutrition Services team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the Food and Nutrition Services department. This includes tasks such as ware washing, cleaning pots and pans, sanitizing floors and floor drains, managing trash disposal, and operating cardboard compactors. You will also assist with the removal of soiled trays from patient rooms and help maintain soiled utility closets. Adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines and compliance with regulatory agency requirements are essential aspects of this position. The role demands attention to detail, ability to work under close supervision, and commitment to supporting the health and safety of patients and staff.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $24.12 and includes varying shifts within the United States. Denver Health’s comprehensive benefits package is designed to support employees’ lives, families, and futures. Benefits include generous paid time off starting at 28 days per year, fully paid parental leave, immediate retirement plan eligibility with employer contributions, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Employees have access to wellness programs such as an on-site fitness center and the nationally recognized RESTORE Center, along with additional perks like free public transportation passes, childcare discounts, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
