This role requires keen attention to detail, a proactive attitude toward cleanliness, and a commitment to safety and health standards.
Key responsibilities include performing routine cleaning tasks outlined in daily and weekly maintenance schedules, conducting minor repairs and improvements, assisting with cleaning emergencies, and supporting other teams during cleaning projects. Additionally, they help maintain the store’s landscaping and parking lot, ensuring the store’s exterior remains as pristine and inviting as the interior.
Whole Foods Market expects employees in this role to embody the company’s culture of quality and safety by adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures, including food safety protocols and regional or national regulatory requirements. Team Members must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, and a high degree of professionalism in all interactions. This is a dynamic position demanding strong work ethic, flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and the physical ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks.
This opportunity comes with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $29.73, determined based on experience. Whole Foods Market also provides comprehensive Whole Benefits for eligible full-time and part-time Team Members, including access to health and wellness programs, paid time off, store discounts, financial wellness resources, and other perks designed to support the overall well-being of their employees. New Team Members who complete their first 90 days successfully may be eligible for a wage increase, highlighting the company’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding performance.
By choosing a career with Whole Foods Market, candidates not only join a globally respected grocery chain but also become part of a movement dedicated to improving lives, communities, and the environment. This Maintenance Team Member role offers a chance to develop personally and professionally within a supportive and ethical workplace that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
