Job Description
Unilever is a global leader in the consumer goods industry, known for its commitment to sustainability, quality, and innovation. With a diverse portfolio of products ranging from food and beverages to personal care and cleaning agents, Unilever operates in more than 190 countries and is driven by its mission to make sustainable living commonplace. The company prides itself on creating an inclusive environment that fosters growth, development, and respect for all employees, partners, and communities.
This role, Sanitation Supervisor (First Shift, Saturday-Wednesday), is crucial within Unilever's manufacturing operations, particularly in food production. The Supervisor will lead all sanitation activities across the site, ensuring compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing a team of approximately 13 hourly sanitation employees, making sure that cleaning processes are effectively executed to support safe product manufacturing and timely return to production operations.
The Sanitation Supervisor will be a pivotal part of the company’s commitment to food safety and quality, partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and external vendors. This collaboration aims to maintain sanitation excellence, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on expertise with sanitation systems including Clean-in-Place (CIP), Clean-out-of-Place (COP), and strict adherence to safety protocols such as chemical handling and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
The position offers a comprehensive compensation package with a pay range of $71,400 to $107,200, accompanied by eligibility for bonuses and long-term incentives. Unilever also provides robust benefits, including health insurance options covering prescription drugs, dental, and vision, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, parental leave, and various voluntary benefits. These benefits underline Unilever's commitment to supporting the well-being and growth of its employees.
At the core of Unilever's ethos is inclusion and diversity. The company actively welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and is dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can thrive and succeed. It ensures fair treatment for all applicants and employees, supporting career development and maintaining compliance with equal opportunity employment laws.
This role requires a motivated leader with at least two years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment, along with direct experience managing sanitation teams and overseeing food safety programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, an understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulatory frameworks, and a track record of working collaboratively across functions to enhance sanitation practices and production readiness. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food safety, team leadership, and continuous improvement to make a meaningful impact within a top-tier global company.
