Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years preferred, having prior experience as a porter, pot washer, or sanitation experience in a food production or commercial kitchen environment
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team leader experience preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language with proficiency
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Able to work in refrigerated environments
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Duties
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of porters, dishwashers, and pot washers during assigned shifts
- Ensure all pots, pans, trays, utensils, kitchen equipment, and airline equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored correctly
- Maintain the cleanliness of all dishwashing areas, drains, mop stations, sinks, and surrounding kitchen zones
- Enforce compliance with company sanitation protocols and health and safety regulations
- Train new porter staff on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, PPE usage, and equipment handling
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and cleaning stations to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Support deep cleaning projects and sanitation tasks in coordination with QA and Production
- Ensure all cleaning supplies, PPE, and chemicals are properly stocked, labeled, and used according to SDS guidelines
- Assist in creating and updating cleaning schedules and sanitation standards
- Report maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions to the Sanitation Manager or Maintenance Department
- Address performance or attendance issues among porter staff in coordination with HR or management
