Capriotti's is a renowned fast casual restaurant founded in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware by siblings Lois and Alan Margolet. The brand has grown to establish a reputation for serving high-quality, fresh sandwiches crafted from whole roast turkeys, premium meats, cheeses, fresh rolls, and produce. Currently, Capriotti's Sarasota in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to lead their team. This role is vital to continuing the brand's mission by ensuring that all food items are prepared and served to the highest standards—hot food always served hot, cold food cold, and everything fresh in a clean, friendly environment. The Manager acts as the face of the company, responsible not only for managing daily operations but also for embodying Capriotti's core values through excellent customer service and team leadership.

The position requires prior management experience in food service sectors such as fast food, fast casual, or quick service restaurants (QSR). The successful candidate will be actively involved in shift operations, including working the food line to create exceptional sandwiches. Capriotti's requires all managers to undergo a comprehensive two-week training program at other Capriotti's locations, both in and out of state, with all training expenses covered by the company.

As a Manager, you will be part of a bonus program that rewards performance and dedication. Your responsibilities span across team building, coaching, scheduling, compliance monitoring, financial oversight, and hands-on involvement with food preparation. Capriotti's seeks a leader who is passionate about hospitality, food, cleanliness, and effective team collaboration. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 per year, alongside various benefits designed to support personal and professional growth.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to withstand work conditions in temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to move throughout the restaurant for extended periods at a time
  • Can move 50 lbs for a distance of up to 10 feet
  • Ability to balance and move up to 25 lbs for distances of up to 50 feet

Job Qualifications

  • Management experience in food service, ideally fast food, fast casual, and QSR concepts
  • Experience in kitchens and food service is mandatory
  • Service orientation - actively looks for ways to help others
  • Time management - demonstrates ability to multi-task
  • can remain hands-on during a busy shift without losing focus on the guest, product quality, and team performance
  • organizes, plans, and prioritizes daily and weekly tasks and projects
  • Computer and technology experience in POS systems and proficiency in the use of a computer such as e-mail, spreadsheets, and other documents

Job Duties

  • Builds teams by identifying, recruiting, and hiring the best in the available talent pool and utilizes good performance management strategies to retain talent
  • Coaches, develops, and motivates the shop's Team Members by following Capriotti's training standards
  • Prepares team schedules with a focus on operational excellence and cost management without sacrificing Guest satisfaction and team morale
  • Role models the standards and maintains the culture for delivering captivating service to Guests
  • Monitors compliance with health, safety, and building relations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance
  • Prepares all products according to Capriotti's specifications, using the correct portion, quality, and product presentation controls
  • Maintains the integrity of Capriotti's recipes to ensure a consistent Guest experience at any Capriotti's location
  • Responsible for cash management and bank deposits
  • Monitors budgets, cost of goods sold, labor, payroll records, and all other financial transactions related to the shop
