Currently, we are seeking friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic team players to join the Salty Sow family. This role is vital to our restaurant’s operation, focusing on the preparation and presentation of menu items as well as ensuring the overall quality and sanitation standards are met. As a team member, you will be involved in the confident and skillful preparation of menu items, specials, and special orders. You will take charge of preparing products for your station, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, and keeping all kitchen equipment and facilities in optimal condition. Accuracy in following food procedures and controlling product temperatures is essential. Additionally, all recipe specifications must be adhered to strictly to guarantee consistent quality in every dish served. Job Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and written
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate
  • 2 years line cooking experience in similar environment
  • Fundamental comprehension of operating professional kitchen equipment
  • Basic math skills adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing to execute recipes
  • Knowledge of and skill in using English measurements in volume and weight

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and written

  • 2 years line cooking experience in similar environment

  • High School or G.E.D
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Food Worker Card
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Physically able to stand, walk and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
  • No felony conviction

Job Duties

  • Knowledgeable, skillful and confident preparation of menu item, special, or special order
  • Prepare products for station
  • Maintain a sanitary and safe work environment
  • Maintain equipment and facility
  • Maintain accuracy of all food procedures and product temperatures
  • Ensure all recipes specs are followed
