Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year customer service experience
  • previous front desk experience preferred
  • passion for working with children
  • ability to work part-time hours including weekends
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to commute to Portland, OR
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

  • proficiency with booking and point-of-sale software

Job Duties

  • understand product lines and be able to speak to the value of each retail item
  • at point of sale, support product-based education initiated by the stylist in order to provide additional education support for the guest
  • educate guests on additional services and events offered at Sit Still
  • schedule client appointments made via phone and online booking inquiries using our operating system
  • rebook guests for their next appointment
  • process transactions at time of service
  • ensure the salon runs efficiently during each shift, utilizing downtime away from working directly with guests to complete daily and/or weekly checklists
  • proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and communicate these opportunities in the daily notes to the salon manager/owner
  • relay all important messages and guest communication that requires follow-up to the front desk representative working the next shift
