We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Marketing Associate to join our team. This internal position plays a crucial role in expanding our market share within designated areas by maintaining and growing our existing customer base as well as identifying and opening new accounts. The Marketing Associate will be responsible for meeting management objectives by effectively satisfying customer needs. This role requires a proactive individual who can develop close working relationships not only with our valued customers but also across various internal departments including customer service and operations. The Marketing Associate will regularly interact with clients, providing marketing materials such as flyers, menu ideas, and market updates to enhance customer engagement and support sales efforts.

This position requires weekly visits to existing customers to strengthen relationships and ensure their satisfaction. The Marketing Associate will also be involved in prospecting activities to discover new business opportunities that align with company goals and competitive market positioning. A key responsibility includes pricing management and building order guides that reflect customer preferences and market demands. Additionally, the role involves managing financial aspects such as collecting past due balances to maintain healthy account standings.

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in sales, chef or restaurant management, or related fields such as business, sales, marketing, hospitality, or culinary arts. Outside foodservice sales experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with the industry landscape. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and some knowledge of Salesforce will support the daily operations of this role. Candidates with a background in warehouse distribution and strong communication skills will be well positioned to succeed in this demanding but rewarding career path.

The Marketing Associate will participate in all sales meetings and training sessions, ensuring continuous learning and alignment with company strategies. Collaboration with the customer service department and operational teams will be key to delivering seamless service and meeting customer expectations effectively. Decision-making authority includes oversight of customer profitability and determining pricing and credit approvals in consultation with supervisors. Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of sales, and/or chef/restaurant management experience, and/or related (business, sales, marketing, hospitality, or culinary arts) degree
  • 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience preferred
  • Restaurant management/chef experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook
  • Some knowledge of salesforce a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
