The position offers an opportunity to earn on average between $50,000 - $80,000 or more in the first year, thanks to Montgomery's highest commission rates in Southeastern South Dakota. Employees receive comprehensive interior design training through personalized one-on-one coaching and ongoing educational development to build their expertise and confidence in both design and sales.\n\nA typical day in this role involves engaging warmly with customers to understand their needs and style preferences, offering knowledgeable product demonstrations, and assisting customers in choosing the right items based on their lifestyle and budget. Sales Designers are responsible for closing sales, managing transactions, arranging delivery or pickup logistics, and providing exceptional aftercare support to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition to interacting with customers, this role requires administrative skills to keep inventory accurate, communications timely, and the showroom inviting and organized.\n\nMontgomery's believes in fostering professional growth through weekly training sessions that cover product knowledge, sales techniques, and improved customer service skills. Employees are supported not only with initial training but continuous updates to maintain cutting-edge expertise. Ideal candidates may come from a variety of transferable backgrounds, including serving, event planning, customer service, cosmetology, and graphic design or marketing. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and every other weekend off
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Willingness to undergo continuous training and professional development

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Engage customers by greeting them warmly and understanding their needs
