The current opportunity is for a passionate wine sales professional to join the team, focusing on expanding the Northern Virginia and Washington DC market areas. This is an ideal role for an experienced individual with established relationships in these regions and a comprehensive knowledge of Italian, French, Oregon, and Californian wines, alongside a deep understanding of winemaking processes. The role calls for a self-driven professional who is eager to continue learning and growing within the industry. Job Requirements
- Highly self-motivated
- 2 to 5 years sales and/or wine experience preferred
- Existing relationships in the Northern VA/DC market preferred
- Strong knowledge of Italian, French, Oregon, and California wines
- Understanding of winemaking
- Ability to travel as required
- Possess a reliable vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal record free of alcohol-related charges in the past 10 years
Job Qualifications
- Highly self-motivated
- Preferred 2-5 years sales and/or wine experience
- Candidates with a current base of wine retail/restaurant customers will receive priority
- Ability to travel as required
- Possess a vehicle that is reliable for transportation to each of the accounts
- Possess a valid driver’s license and criminal record that is free of any alcohol related charges in the past 10 years
Job Duties
- Achieve assigned sales targets
- Complete required reports on time
- Independently manage accounts within a given territory to retain existing relationships and grow business within those accounts
- Prospect for new accounts
- Create sales materials and tasting notes for customers upon request
- Work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of your customer base
- Be willing to work evening and weekend public tasting events
- Travel to visit wineries in the US and other countries
