This hotel represents the epitome of elegance combined with innovative hospitality practices, aiming to provide guests with exceptional experiences that blend comfort and style. Tribute Portfolio hotels typically emphasize personalized service, distinctive design, and a contemporary vibe, appealing to travelers who seek authenticity and quality in their accommodations. As a part of a major global hotel group, The Ellison benefits from expansive resources while maintaining its unique charm and local character, making it a sought-after destination for both leisure and business travelers in the Oklahoma City area.
The hotel is currently seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic Sales Manager to drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and robust relationship management. This role is critical in reinforcing the hotel's market presence and achieving ambitious business objectives in a competitive hospitality landscape. The Sales Manager will work directly under the Director of Sales & Marketing, contributing to the development and execution of comprehensive sales strategies targeting the corporate and association markets. Ideal candidates will have two to three years of hotel sales experience, particularly focused on corporate and association segments, equipped with excellent communication and negotiation skills, and demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets.
In this role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for proactively identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships. This includes conducting in-person sales calls, site inspections, tele-prospecting, email outreach, and networking activities that span a diverse range of industries. The successful candidate will be expected to develop creative programs to maximize reservations, ensuring clients receive tailored service and support to meet their event and lodging needs. They will play a pivotal role in contract negotiation, ensuring competitive rates and optimizing profitability for the hotel. Additionally, this position requires the proactive management of account agreements, continuous follow-up with clients, and collaboration with the broader sales team to present compelling offers and promotions.
The Sales Manager will also contribute to marketing and public relations efforts, participating in trade shows and industry functions that enhance the hotel’s visibility and reputation. This role demands excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a positive, flexible attitude under pressure. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ideally have experience with hotel sales systems such as Empower and CI/TY.
Overall, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales professional to grow with a prestigious hotel brand, making a tangible impact on its success. The Ellison provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental plans, 401(k) options, pension plans, hotel discounts, associate recognition programs, and convenient direct deposit, emphasizing the company's commitment to employee well-being and career development.
