Job Requirements
- Three years previous experience in a similar sales role
- Proven ability to solicit group travel
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- Must reside in Los Angeles area and be available for in-office work
- Authorization to work legally in the United States
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle high telephone volume and client engagement
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and competitive market
- Experience in luxury brand preferred
Job Qualifications
- College degree in hotel management, business administration or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in sales within luxury hospitality
- At least three years experience in a similar sales role
- Strong selling and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills including telephone and in-person
- Strong writing and oral presentation skills
- Knowledge of computer operations
- Basic knowledge of hotel operations
- Ability to work both on property and remote
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Promote and sell to group market in defined geographic region
- Generate hotel awareness through direct phone sales, direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups
- Work closely with sales and marketing team to solicit, sell and confirm group business required to meet budgeted sales goals
- Develop accounts by mapping specific business and buying tendencies, maintain organized and professional plan for correspondence and follow up
- Perform daily telephone solicitations to new and existing accounts/customers
- Promote awareness to corporate, incentive and association markets via travel to respective regions providing presentations and sales calls
- Maintain communication/relationship with Worldwide Sales Office network and other Four Seasons hotels to achieve revenue goals
- Create and execute direct sales plan specific to market assignment
- Promote local awareness through relationships with CVBs and tourism authorities
- Conduct tours of property to meeting planners and potential customers
- Work closely with conference services and catering to execute definite programs and address issues
- Coordinate sales related activity through Director of Sales/Marketing, negotiate contracts to maximize profitability
- Utilize Golden account management system and Delphi tools, maintain competitive knowledge
- Assist with guest inquiries within sales department, handle high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections
- Participate in sales blitzes and support operations team during high demand periods
- Maintain relationships with peers at local hotels
