The Omni Shoreham Hotel is a premier hospitality establishment known for its rich heritage and exceptional guest experiences. This job opportunity is for a Sales role within the Omni Shoreham Hotel's sales department. The position plays a crucial part in implementing strategies and activities designed to generate and maximize overall revenue. This includes leveraging marketing, sales, promotion, advertising, and public relations efforts to positively impact all operating departments of the hotel. The ultimate goal of this role is to contribute to profitable returns on the ownership's investment by driving room occupancy, promoting the hotel’s offerings, and securing key accounts.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior sales staff, including the Assistant Director of Sales and the Director of Sales, to help stimulate productivity among the sales team through supportive leadership, development, training, and positive guidance. This role requires active solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales, ensuring the hotel’s sales team maintains a proactive environment toward achieving sales targets. In addition, the role supports the Director of Sales in implementing rate guidelines, developing budgeting and forecasting processes, and promoting hotel visibility through participation in industry associations and trade shows.
Further responsibilities include assisting in the management of group sales, handling varying peak room capacities from 10 to 150, and partnering with the Convention Services Department to maintain the high standards of the hotel’s physical assets. The role also involves supporting all corporate and internal programs to increase customer and employee awareness of the hotel and its brand.
This position demands a highly organized, proactive, and personable individual with a strong commitment to customer service and sales excellence. Candidates should possess extensive computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as knowledge of systems such as Delphi and Libeca. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently without supervision.

Job Duties
- Achieve monthly room night goals

- assist Group Sales Managers with established rate guidelines
- assist Director of Sales in implementing strategies/action plans to generate revenues for the hotel
- assist Director of Sales to stimulate productivity of all sales staff through positive guidance, development, training and support
- actively solicit key accounts to generate direct sales
- maintain Sales Team's focus on a proactive solicitation environment
- assist the Director of Sales in developing and implementing the budgeting and forecasting process
- promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows
- assist the Director of Sales to ensure a challenging and exciting environment to encourage full career development and personal growth
- support and promote all Corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Omni Hotels and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program
- through Convention Services Department, maintain product and assure the protection and cleanliness of the owner's physical assets
- support and promote all internal programs to increase positive customer and employee awareness of the Omni Shoreham and Sales Department
