This estate spans 10 acres and features iconic angular structures crafted by the renowned architect Homer A. Rissman. The Flamingo Resort & Spa combines the convenience of city access with the tranquility of a full retreat, creating an exceptional guest experience that is both distinctive and inviting.

The company is currently seeking a Sales Manager to join the team at The Flamingo Resort & Spa. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of 70,000 to 75,000 USD and focuses on generating revenue through securing and developing new business opportunities within the SMERF market segments, which include Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal groups. The Sales Manager will primarily target groups with 30 or fewer rooms at peak and will be responsible not only for identifying and closing sales but also for maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring seamless service delivery.

The Sales Manager role demands strong sales acumen, the ability to build lasting client connections, and a deep understanding of the hospitality landscape. In this capacity, the Sales Manager will craft and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at SMERF groups while collaborating closely with hotel management and other departments to uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction. This position emphasizes teamwork and communication and offers a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters professional success and personal growth. The candidate will also participate actively in sales meetings, trade shows, and community events, representing the hotel and Pyramid Global Hospitality with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Ideal candidates will have between two and four years of experience in the hospitality industry or related sales roles, excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and familiarity with sales software such as Delphi, Opera, or OnQ is advantageous. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years experience in hospitality or related sales field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with Delphi, Opera, or OnQ is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources
  • Understanding the positioning of the hotel, services provided, and how the hotel can meet the needs of clients
  • Two-four years of employment in the hospitality industry or related sales field

Job Duties

  • Establish client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social, and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside selling to secure business for the hotel to ensure that room night sales and revenue goals are met or exceeded
  • Actively prospect and qualify new business
  • Achieve personal and team goals as assigned
  • Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines
  • Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders
  • Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients
  • Disseminate sales-related information to other departments as appropriate
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients
  • Entertain clients in accordance with established company and hotel policies and guidelines
  • Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures
  • Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility
  • Attend and represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets
  • Participation in daily sales meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
  • Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events
  • Participate as team player with all departments
  • Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings
  • Experience with Delphi, Opera, and/or OnQ is a plus
