We are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Hotel Group Sales Leader to join our sales team and act as the revenue generator for our group business segment. This full-time leadership role is pivotal in driving aggressive solicitation efforts to secure new and repeat group business, focusing on maximizing revenue across both room sales and food and beverage (F&B) services. The successful candidate will spearhead the development and execution of strategic sales plans designed to meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets. A professional, knowledgeable, and goal-oriented approach is essential in this role as it requires managing a full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and maintaining client relationships.

The Hotel Group Sales Leader will oversee all aspects of the sales and marketing division within the group segment, providing visionary leadership aimed at maximizing hotel sales generation and optimizing revenue growth. Responsibilities will include aggressive prospecting and solicitation of new and existing accounts through various channels such as telephone calls, face-to-face sales visits, site inspections, and written communications. This individual will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and industry partners, attending trade shows and community events to enhance market presence and generate new business leads. Furthermore, the role involves active participation in daily business review meetings, pre-convention discussions, and ongoing training sessions to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Success in this position demands a proven track record of sales experience, leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry’s dynamics. The ideal candidate should have three to five years of management or leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, retail, or food service sectors, accompanied by three to four years of hands-on experience in hospitality sales. An undergraduate degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related business discipline is highly valued. Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in a management or leadership role preferably in hospitality, retail, or food service

Job Duties

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication
  • Manage all aspects of the sales and marketing division providing strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the companys ambitious growth targets maintaining a professional and knowledgeable approach on every new business call
  • Forge relationships and build rapport to cultivate, enhance, and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business
  • Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings to represent the hotel and generate leads
  • Promptly prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and maintain files
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings
