The Sales Lead role at RNDC is a dynamic and rewarding position that plays a pivotal part in the company’s continued growth and success. As a Sales Lead, you will be responsible for proactively advancing and securing sales within a designated territory by servicing existing sales accounts while strategically driving incremental business growth. This is accomplished through informed, consultative selling techniques that ensure customer needs are met with the right products. You will act as the voice of the customer, maintaining consistent communication and providing exceptional service to strengthen RNDC’s relationships with clients. Your responsibilities include frequent visits to accounts to maximize revenue potential, educating customers about products, and developing effective sales plans tailored to individual customer needs and geographical considerations. In addition, you will follow-up to ensure orders are delivered accurately and timely, and if a support representative is not assigned, you will manage merchandising efforts such as stocking shelves and building displays. This role involves opportunities for professional development through ongoing training on the organization’s products and services. Flexibility is required, including the potential for night and weekend work related to promotions and special account activities. Job Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school
  • four year college degree preferred
  • 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • requires a current, valid state drivers license
  • ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements as defined by the company
  • strong client skills and experience understanding customer needs

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in the wine and spirits industry is a bonus
  • industry certifications including CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Sake Specialist are advantageous

  • Represents the voice of the customer

  • establishes individual sales plan that considers customer needs and geographies to create effective and efficient customer outreach
  • sets the overall selling plan for each customer
  • works closely with customers to understand and support their business strategies, goals, and objectives
  • follows-up with customer to ensure their orders are delivered accurately and promptly
  • responsible for merchandising activities if no support rep partner
  • develops sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
  • job duties may include working nights and weekends on promotional activities and other account activities
