With two prominent locations, the eatery prides itself on delivering quality service, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to guests, striving to create memorable dining experiences for families and friends. The restaurant offers a unique blend of comfort and innovation, positioning itself as a prime destination for those seeking a home-like dining environment with a modern culinary twist. The Herb Box also caters to various event needs, providing on-site and off-site event services tailored to fit any style and group size. Their catering options and private dining spaces accommodate intimate gatherings as well as large parties with a mix of spaces including three private dining rooms and a spacious 5,000 square foot patio with buy-out options, making it an ideal venue for unforgettable celebrations. This role is full-time with an annual pay of $60,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package, detailed further below.
The Sales Events Coordinator position at The Herb Box is a pivotal role focused on driving revenue growth through converting inbound catering and private dining leads into confirmed, profitable events. This role is embedded within a collaborative sales team framework that includes Sales Managers and fellow Sales Event Coordinators. Inbound leads are centrally managed and assigned by a Sales Manager, allowing the Sales Events Coordinator to focus on client-level engagement, maintaining momentum for the sales pipeline via consultative selling, diligent follow-up, and effective closing techniques. The ideal candidate for this position is a hospitality-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced team environment characterized by urgency, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to delivering excellent client experiences.
The Sales Events Coordinator will work closely with Event Captains and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and foster repeat business opportunities. The structure allows Sales Managers to concentrate on strategy, new business acquisition, forecasting, and lead distribution, while the Sales Events Coordinator ensures consistent lead conversion and revenue generation building a strong foundation for the department's overall success. The work schedule ranges from 40 to 50 hours per week depending on business needs and event seasons, with flexible shifts including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays due to event demands.
The role also emphasizes a consultative sales approach, requiring comprehensive client consultations to understand event scopes, budgets, timelines, and objectives. The Sales Events Coordinator is responsible for preparing proposals, menus, pricing, and contracts in collaboration with internal teams and maintaining meticulous documentation in the sales system. Success in this position depends on meeting key performance indicators such as lead response time, conversion rates, revenue targets, proposal-to-contract closure rates, and client satisfaction levels. The candidate will also engage in outbound sales efforts through referrals and relationship building with venues, planners, and partners while representing The Herb Box at tastings and various industry events.
Strong communication skills, exceptional organizational capabilities, and a passion for hospitality are critical in this position. The candidate must demonstrate leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a team-first attitude with a growth mindset, reflecting the company's EOS values and mission. Knowledge of food preparation, service etiquette, and applicable health and sanitation standards is essential, along with proficiency in tools like Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Overall, the Sales Events Coordinator is a strategic client liaison who plays an integral part in the success of The Herb Box's catering and private dining sales initiatives, ensuring outstanding events that leave lasting impressions on clients and guests alike.
