Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior administrative experience preferred
  • sales & marketing experience preferred
  • ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license
  • proficiency in verbal, written and electronic communication
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to handle moderate physical demands including lifting up to 45 lbs
  • ability to sit and remain focused at a desk for prolonged periods
  • good multitasking and time management skills
  • adherence to Azul Hospitality grooming and attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor's degree preferred
  • sales & marketing experience preferred
  • prior experience in an administrative role preferred
  • ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license
  • good communication skills
  • verbal, written and electronic
  • excellent leadership capability and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • intermediate computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • assist the Director of Sales and/or Sales Manager(s) in the sale of the Hotel concept to group, corporate and leisure prospects
  • assist the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Sales & Marketing team with administrative and clerical support
  • handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • maintain a filing system of all department records
  • arrange appointments and meetings for sales managers
  • prepare meeting packets and other Sales & Marketing materials
  • keep inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed
  • provide client support including processing client leads, investigating hotel and preferred guest program issues, acquiring or sending collateral materials
  • provide hotel support including following up on outstanding responses, calling, faxing, and emailing clients
  • handle logistics for small group meetings for key clients
  • generate reports and compile statistical information as requested
  • produce and submit purchase orders according to hotel procedures
  • assist with banquet event orders (BEOs), group resumes, and room blocks
  • assist with client notification of key dates such as cut-off or payment schedule deadlines
  • drive product quality and a unique guest experience
  • maintain overall look and feel of the hotel
  • maintain a positive attitude focused on friendly interactions with guests and staff
  • develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
  • perform all other duties assigned by managers or supervisors
