The Director of Sales role at the Element by Westin Palmdale is a unique opportunity for an ambitious sales leader to make a significant impact. This overtime-eligible manager position comes with a competitive salary, a $1,500 signing bonus, and eligibility for a quarterly incentive plan. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving hotel revenue through creative sales and marketing strategies, building and leading a passionate sales team, and acting as the hotel’s ambassador both internally and externally. Your mission will be to fill rooms, boost revenue, and foster an energetic and motivated team environment. This role demands a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects. Additionally, you will work closely with the General Manager, supporting hotel operations and ensuring seamless integration across departments. This position offers excellent growth opportunities within Aimbridge Hospitality, including access to leadership development programs, management apprenticeships, and continuous training.

Job Requirements

  • at least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
  • valid driver’s license
  • highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to negotiate, sell, and influence
  • thorough experience with professional selling skills
  • strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • strong organization and presentation skills
  • demonstrated ability to manage and interact with people of diverse backgrounds
  • advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
  • ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • cast creative spells to fill rooms and increase revenue
  • assemble, train, mentor, and inspire a diverse sales team
  • develop and implement sales and marketing strategies including budgeting and forecasting
  • conduct sales calls, hotel tours, and client meetings to build relationships
  • collaborate with the General Manager and other departments to support hotel operations
  • manage and participate in marketing campaigns and promotional events
  • maintain strong customer relationships and ensure guest satisfaction
