Freshpoint is a premier foodservice distributor renowned for delivering the highest quality fresh produce and specialty items to a diverse clientele including restaurants, hotels, and culinary professionals. As a leading provider in the foodservice industry, Freshpoint is dedicated to helping its customers succeed by ensuring they have access to fresh, innovative products that enhance their culinary offerings. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality, innovation, and outstanding service, positioning itself as a trusted partner in its customers' success.

Joining Freshpoint’s World Class Sales Team means becoming part of a dynamic, purpose-driven organization that values community support and associate development. This is an exciting career opportunity for experienced Sales Professionals, Restaurant Managers, Culinary Managers, or Chefs seeking career advancement in a thriving environment. Freshpoint offers a competitive base salary accompanied by bonus and promotional incentive opportunities, reflecting the company’s dedication to rewarding performance and growth. Additional benefits include mileage reimbursement, company-provided cell phones, and specialized sales training aimed at honing sales skills and product knowledge.

The role is centered on outside sales, where the selected candidate will promote Freshpoint’s products and services while cultivating strong relationships with both new and existing accounts. The primary mission is to support customers’ success and help them achieve their business goals, aligned with Freshpoint’s objectives for sales and profitability. The position may require flexibility in scheduling with some non-traditional hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer demands effectively.

The ideal candidate will be actively engaged in identifying and developing new business opportunities, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business within their assigned territory. Responsibilities include thorough research of customer needs and the strategic recommendation of product mixes to meet those needs. A deep understanding of market conditions, product innovations, and competitive landscapes is essential to provide value-added services and informed product recommendations.

Strong communication skills are critical as this role involves training customer personnel on product knowledge, handling pricing inquiries, and addressing questions about product use and availability. The role demands proactive management of deliveries, troubleshooting order issues, and collaboration with credit and transportation departments regarding accounts receivable and logistic schedules. Participation in company promotions, sales meetings, customer events, and ongoing training sessions further underscores the importance of being a proactive team member committed to continuous learning and contribution.

This career path offers opportunities for both entry-level and experienced candidates to grow within the company, supported by company-hosted training and sales rewards programs. Freshpoint also provides a robust benefits package that includes an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and a 401(k) retirement plan with automatic matching contributions, reflecting the company’s dedication to employee financial wellbeing.
