Job Requirements
- Minimum two years of previous experience as an administrative assistant in hotel catering and sales or similar environment
- Must read, write and speak the English language fluently
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and prioritize workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of previous experience as an administrative assistant in hotel catering and sales or similar environment
- Previous hotel experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Delphi and Opera is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task and prioritize workload
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written effectively with guests, vendors, and co workers
- Must read, write and speak the English language fluently
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
Job Duties
- Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, word processing, and answering phones
- Process all paper flow in and out of sales office
- Maintain a filing system or reports and pertinent hotel records
- Compile computer reports and special assignments
- Compose and reply to correspondence based on organizational practice, policies, and procedures
- Efficiently handle all inquiries in absence of director and sales managers
- Adhere to all Sonesta service standards
- Assist and provide support to the sales and marketing managers with contracts, proposals, letters, processing of booking recaps, definite contracts, deposits, rooming lists, and providing all necessary information to other departments
- Assist social sales manager with group detailing
- Participate in sales meetings and take sales meeting minutes
- Work with wedding room blocks to coordinate reservations and create group resumes
- Assist with the creation and distribution of amenity forms
- Deliver passionate and engaging service to guests
- Build solid relationships with colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
