Job Requirements

  • No experience required
  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • available to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • able to lift at least 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds
  • able to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
  • excellent communication skills
  • basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of products and merchandise
  • retail experience preferred but not required
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
  • telephone etiquette
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to multi-task and remain flexible

Job Duties

  • Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
  • ask questions and listen to customer needs
  • direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events and promotions
  • provide premier customer service
  • cooperate and build positive inclusive and respectful relationships
  • maintain store appearance
  • cross-sell products and know layout of the store
  • make suggestions on latest trends and current promotions
  • upsell products
  • learn product features and keep up with the latest trends
  • use a Point-of-Sales system to process cash and other payment methods
  • complete various forms of paperwork and reconciliation
  • manage inventory processes and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed
  • adhere to assigned work schedule
  • accurately follow through on work assignments
  • perform other duties as assigned
