- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- ability to read and interpret company directives, handbook, and manuals
- ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
- ability to ascend and descend ladders safely
- ability to frequently stand and move for prolonged periods
- ability to frequently communicate with customers in person, electronically, and telephonically
- ability to move merchandise weighing 50 pounds or more
- ability to operate point of sale systems and registers efficiently and accurately
- must be energetic, people-oriented, and results-driven
Job Qualifications
- Energetic and results-oriented with a competitive drive to succeed
- effective communication skills both written and verbal
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- experience in retail sales preferred but not required
- basic proficiency in operating point of sale systems and handheld devices
- customer service experience is an asset
- ability to understand and follow company directives and manuals
Job Duties
- Support and value customer service in both the in-store and online shopping experience
- actively engage with all customers modeling exceptional selling behaviors
- greet every customer with enthusiasm and maintain a positive attitude
- proactively engage with customers, read cues, and respond appropriately
- educate customers on loyalty programs, current promotions, and merchandise assortment
- support company branding by treating customers and co-workers respectfully and professionally
- achieve or exceed goals associated with company initiatives and programs
- assist in the receipt of merchandise safely and efficiently
- maintain an efficient and organized sales floor and stockroom
- maintain merchandise presentation, pricing, and inventory accuracy
- champion and demonstrate commitment to Kirkland's values
- perform other duties as necessary
