The role of a Sales Professional at Bloomingdale's is pivotal in delivering the retailer’s renowned customer experience. A Sales Professional serves as a fashion consultant to customers, establishing and cultivating long-term relationships in person and online. They are responsible for engaging customers through meaningful conversation, offering styling advice, and sharing the benefits of Bloomingdale’s loyalty programs. The position demands a welcoming, engaging, and inquisitive nature to create the human connection that customers seek while shopping. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25lbs
  • Good color vision
  • Proficiency in using computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to read and understand procedural manuals

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of fashion and styling
  • Proficiency with technology and point-of-sale systems

Job Duties

  • Create an in-store and online easy, seamless and fun experience
  • building and cultivating customer relationships
  • Drive sales with in-store and online clients by embracing and being proficient with technology
  • Participate in the merchandising and operational requirements of the role
  • Maintain floor and fitting room upkeep
