In this role, the Certified Color Consultant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service experiences, ensuring that every customer interaction is productive, educational, and enjoyable. By leveraging strong selling behaviors and omnichannel strategies, the consultant introduces all customers to the hair color category and related products, thereby boosting sales and broadening brand visibility. The consultant also supports store operations through duties such as accurate sales transactions, inventory management, price adjustments, and maintaining the tidiness and organization of the store environment. Moreover, the Certified Color Consultant plays an active role in team dynamics by facilitating onboarding and mentoring fellow associates, contributing to a knowledgeable and cohesive staff.
Safety and loss prevention compliance are also critical components of this position, ensuring that all policies related to inventory control and handling of hazardous materials are strictly followed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and management in a clear, concise manner
- Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business
- Ability to execute product knowledge from training to support with customer service
- Ability to explain product labels
- Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager
- Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and navigation of the internet and social media platforms
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide an optimal customer experience and create customer retention by utilizing selling behaviors and company sales directives
- Ensure all customer transactions are complete and accurate to drive incremental sales
- Deliver behaviors consistent with driving desired client survey scores and reviews
- Determine customer color and care related needs, offer professional advice and recommendations
- Assist the team with meeting or exceeding specific hair color sales goals
- Record all sales in the POS and handle all monetary transactions accurately
- Complete daily paperwork and reporting and make bank deposits when needed
- Price merchandise, process back stock, assist with shipment processing and housekeeping duties
- Support with planograms as needed
- Open and close the store
- Establish technical expertise pertaining to products, policies, and programs
- Complete all training programs as directed
- Work well with others, assist Store Manager with onboarding and training needs of new associates
- Mentor other associates to elevate hair color knowledge
- Comply with safety and loss prevention policies
- Comply with inventory control procedures and hazardous material handling
