This position offers a starting wage of $21.30 per hour and flexible working hours from Monday through Sunday, between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm, to accommodate business needs. The role is centered around maintaining an outstanding front-end experience for customers while also supporting sales floor and stocking activities. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, ensuring a smooth checkout process, and managing product availability and presentation on the sales floor. This includes scanning and processing sales efficiently using POS systems, conducting cart transfers, checking receipts, performing opening and closing duties, and ensuring proper product labeling and rotation in compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) systems. The role is crucial in increasing sales, reducing product shrinkage through effective inventory handling, and maintaining store aesthetics through proper stock replenishment and cleanliness. You will also assist in price changes and participate in inventory and cycle counts as needed. Maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment forms an essential part of the role, including upkeep of the sales floor, parking lot, restrooms, and cart areas. The work environment features exposure to varying temperatures and some physical labor including lifting and moving, which requires the ability to work in diverse conditions.

You are expected to have good customer service skills, the ability to multitask, operate necessary equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks safely, and use basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. The ability to interact with internal staff at all levels and customers externally is essential for success. The position does not involve supervisory duties but demands self-motivation and accountability. Physical qualifications require standing and walking continuously, lifting and carrying loads ranging from 1 to over 100 pounds with varying frequencies, and engaging in activities such as stooping, bending, climbing, and manual dexterity in handling materials.

Candidates should possess at least six months of retail cashier or stocking experience, with a preference for those having one year of retail selling or customer service experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate must have a solid common sense, basic math skills, and the ability to deliver professional, efficient, and friendly service to every customer. Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and familiarity with office equipment are also important. The schedule is flexible and may include weekends and holidays, which requires adaptability. This role may also be eligible for overtime compensation, reflecting the dynamic nature of retail operations.
