Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
minimum one year of relevant customer service or retail experience
ability to stand for extended periods
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
proficiency with point of sale (POS) systems
capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
basic knowledge of food handling and safety
availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

one year of experience in customer service and retail operations, preferably within the food and beverage industry
outstanding social skills, enabling effective customer engagement and product sales
familiarity with the use of point of sale (POS) systems
capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage multiple tasks
strong english communication skills
knowledge of french pastries, beverages, culture, and language is a nice to have

Job Duties

create a welcoming environment and greet customers warmly
ensure all guests receive courteous, responsive, and friendly service at all times
demonstrate a deep understanding of our products and engage customers with insightful product information
offer samples and administer sampling guidelines to enhance customer experience
thank all guests in a genuine manner and let them know we're happy they chose to visit our shop
maintain operational efficiency by taking the required actions that meet the highest customer service standards and daily operational needs
proficient order management skills such as taking orders accurately, entering them into the POS system, and ensuring proper plating and packaging
prepare and serve beverage orders, including coffee drinks and milkshakes, according to established standards
ensure all food and products adhere to established high-quality standards and presentation
assist in visual merchandising and inventory management to enhance the shop's appeal
demonstrate menu knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings
collaborate with leadership team to achieve sales and service objectives while maintaining quality standards
maintain a positive work environment that encourages productivity and cooperation
achieve sales targets through effective customer engagement and product knowledge
ensure adherence to federal, state, county, and municipal regulations related to health, safety, and labor
administer corrective actions fairly and promptly for any violations of company policies, rules, or procedures
uphold and maintain the execution of the food and beverage standards, as well as all Le Macaron’s brand and food safety standards
complete and record all cleaning tasks as outlined in best practices
maintain an inviting space for guests all day, every day
follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
work in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others
identify and correct hazards
comply with all safety policies and best practices
perform all other duties based on business needs
