Job Requirements

  • Frequently operate cash register
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5-10 feet
  • Frequently ascend and descend ladders
  • Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
  • Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers, managers, and coworkers
  • Frequently move across the sales floor and stock room
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Must identify and understand email and print instructions
  • Must remain in a stationary, upright position for 80 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • At least 16 years old
  • Available to work a flexible schedule
  • Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices
  • Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
  • Able to handle customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally
  • Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
  • Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers promptly
  • Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and answering questions
  • Promote store events and promotions
  • Resolve customer concerns and offer alternative solutions
  • Communicate merchandise restocking and customer feedback to management
  • Support team and company goals to achieve store objectives
