Job Requirements
- One to two years of relevant experience in sales
- Previous sales experience in restaurant, food sales, or professional catering preferred
- High energy, positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong team player profile
- Driven and motivated to take responsibility
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter who asks questions and learns quickly
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and short turnarounds
- College degree desired but not required
- Must live in assigned geographic sales area

Job Duties
- Produce sales revenue through developing and growing new sales and increasing sales with existing accounts
- Compile lists of prospective customers using various sources such as networking, trade shows, and business directories
- Travel throughout assigned territory and call on regular and prospective customers to secure orders
- Display or demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, emphasizing saleable features
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
- Estimate delivery dates based on company production and delivery schedules
- Prepare business transaction reports and maintain expense accounts
- Coordinate with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature updated
- Track stock levels
- Enter new customer and sales data into the computer database
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts
