Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group operates The Meritage Resort & Spa, a premier luxury resort nestled in a picturesque location that offers an exceptional hospitality experience. As an owner-operator, Pacific Hospitality Group is deeply committed to long-term growth, sustainability, and enriching the lives of guests and team members alike. The company’s core values—which include integrity, respect, customer focus, and principled entrepreneurship—guide their relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation in the hospitality industry. The Meritage Resort & Spa stands as a distinguished member of the resort community, known for its outstanding service, elegant accommodations, and commitment to sustainable hospitality practices. The resort caters to a diverse clientele including corporate guests, luxury travelers, and event planners, making it a vibrant environment for professionals in the hospitality and sales sectors.
The Executive Meeting Manager (EMM) position at The Meritage Resort & Spa is a critical role focused on driving group revenue by managing small-to-mid-size group bookings, specifically those requiring 10-54 rooms. This role demands a strategic approach to sales and revenue generation, centered on high-volume lead handling, efficient response times, and the ability to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings through expert negotiation and client relationship management. The EMM acts as a vital conduit between Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations teams, ensuring flawless coordination from the initial inquiry stage through group turnover. This ensures alignment with the resort’s overall revenue strategy and guarantees a premium experience for the guests and clients. The role requires an individual who is results-driven, highly organized, and responsive under pressure, capable of balancing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include managing inbound group leads, proactively soliciting new business, maintaining strong client relationships, collaborating internally across departments, managing the sales pipeline, and staying abreast of market trends. The ideal candidate typically holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field and possesses 2-5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in luxury or resort environments. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are indispensable, alongside familiarity with CRM and hotel systems like Delphi or Salesforce. This position offers a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where teamwork and strategic thinking are highly valued. Pacific Hospitality Group emphasizes equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive workplace free from discrimination, making it a rewarding career opportunity for candidates who share their values and vision.
