Job Description
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Irvine Spectrum is a premier hotel located in Irvine Spectrum Business Park, in the heart of Southern California's thriving technological coast. This establishment is dedicated to providing guests with a memorable experience during every stay by fostering a proactive and guest-focused team environment. As part of the esteemed Hilton brand, DoubleTree by Hilton combines warm hospitality and modern amenities to create an inviting atmosphere for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel prides itself on its commitment to exceptional service, community involvement, and sustainable growth, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking a rewarding career in hospitality.
Pacific Hospitality Group, the owner and operator of this hotel, strengthens its position by adhering to a family-focused ownership philosophy that aims for long-term value and growth. The company is committed to enriching lives by offering memorable experiences, giving back to communities, and upholding strong values such as integrity, respect, compliance, customer focus, and humility. Their approach emphasizes principled entrepreneurship and continuous improvement, providing employees with ample opportunities to advance professionally while contributing meaningfully to the company’s success and community well-being.
The Sales position at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Irvine Spectrum is a crucial role designed for ambitious individuals eager to elevate their careers in hospitality sales. This role primarily involves actively soliciting new business opportunities by prospecting new customers such as groups, travel managers, and individual consumers. The Sales team member will leverage networking channels and industry associations to open doors to new clients and ensure the hotel’s offerings are effectively marketed to prospective business partners. Candidates should be ready to engage in trade shows, community events, and sales blitzes to develop and nurture long-term client relationships.
Key responsibilities include researching market trends and client needs, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and meticulously managing client and booking data through the hotel’s property systems. The candidate will coordinate with various hotel departments to plan event details, including space requirements, food service, and event decor to create a seamless experience for clients. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills for ongoing client correspondence and internal reporting.
This position requires a proactive mindset to achieve or exceed established sales goals by fully penetrating assigned territories with a focus on group business markets such as education, associations, government, and SMERF (social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal markets). Sales professionals will need to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while navigating a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Mastery of sales techniques, negotiation, and closing skills, alongside proficiency with tools such as MS Office and DELPHI, is essential.
Working at DoubleTree means adapting to the cyclical nature of hospitality, including varying schedules that may encompass weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts. The team-oriented culture embraces diversity and prohibits discrimination of any kind, offering equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees. This sales role is perfect for those seeking a challenging and rewarding career with a company that values integrity, service excellence, and social responsibility in the hotel industry.
