Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences and innovative service standards. As a multinational company owning a diverse portfolio of hotel brands, Marriott offers opportunities to grow within a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment. Aloft Hotels, a part of Marriott International, stands out with its modern design, vibrant personality, and commitment to being a lively hub for guests to connect and engage with their surroundings. Aloft provides a unique blend of contemporary style and community-focused hospitality, catering to guests ranging from business travelers to families and creatives. Joining Aloft Hotels means becoming part of a brand that values confident self-expression, cultural diversity, and the power of genuine human connections.
The position of Reservation Agent at Aloft Hotels is a critical role aimed at managing all reservation-related interactions with guests efficiently and professionally. The Reservation Agent serves as the primary point of contact for guests seeking lodging, responsible for processing reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations through various communication channels such as phone, fax, or mail. This role requires not only excellent customer service skills but also the capacity to handle complex requests, provide detailed information about room availability, rates, and hotel policies, and use sales techniques to optimize revenue. Alongside managing individual bookings, the Reservation Agent is also tasked with organizing group room blocks, maintaining accuracy in room assignments, and coordinating with other departments to resolve any challenges related to room accommodations.
This position emphasizes a high level of professionalism, adherence to company policies, and a friendly, welcoming demeanor that aligns with Marriott's standards for guest service. The Reservation Agent is expected to handle sensitive guest information with confidentiality and demonstrate teamwork by supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture. The role demands clear communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to carry out various administrative duties like preparing billing accounts and documentation. Moreover, the job requires basic physical activity such as lifting or moving light objects.
Ideal candidates for this position will have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent and minimum one year of related work experience. While no supervisory experience or certifications are required, the role is tailored for individuals who thrive in a customer-focused environment and enjoy collaborative teamwork. Aloft Hotels and Marriott International foster an equal opportunity workplace that values diversity and inclusivity, making this an excellent employment opportunity for those seeking growth in the hospitality sector.
